Information For International Students Who Have Registered
1- Residence Permit
After arrival to Turkey you have to make an appointment for residence permit application through
https://e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr/ and you have to submit the residence permit number (ID number) to the university as soon as possible.
2- Registration Documents
International students who have not yet submitted their original high school diploma, original transcript and High School Equivalency to the university need to submit their original diploma and transcript to their nearest Turkish Embassy / Consulate until 14th May 2021. A TÖMER (Turkish Language Certificate) has to be handed in to the university within 1 year from the date of registration otherwise your registration will be cancelled/invalid/deleted. It has to be a B2 certificate and the valid and accepted certificates are from TÖMER centers of any Turkish state or private university or from Yunus Emre Institutes.
Students who do not have a TÖMER certifcate but have a B2 level in Turkish, can take the Turkish proficiency exam organized by Bursa Tömer . For information about the proficiency exam, contact Bursa Tömer at: firstname.lastname@example.org

4- School Of Foreign Languages
The students of Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Polymer and Materials Engineering Departments have to follow a compulsory English preparatory year.

5- Student Automation System
You can enter the system through https://obs.btu.edu.tr/. It is compulsory to update the information when you first enter the system. You can obtain a student certificate (öğrenci belgesi) by following the necessary steps on http://oidb.btu.edu.tr/index.php?page=duyuru&id=21998. Your course choices have been made for the Fall/Autumn semester. You have to maket he course choices for Spring semester yourselves according to the Academic Calender which you can find on http://www.btu.edu.tr/index.php?sid=27. You can find the related annoumcements on http://www.btu.edu.tr/index.php . You can pay the tuition fees on Ziraat Bank ATM’s or inmternet banking by stating your student number.

Password: The first 5 digits of your ID number, the passwords of students who hold temporary ID number have been sent to their e-mails.
For procedures like suspending your study/freeze registration, course substitution, students certificate (öğrenci belgesi) with wet/original signature requests you can contact the department secretary on http://rehber.btu.edu.tr/index.php?lng=2 or you can also obtain information from your advisor appointed to you and whose name you can find on the student automation system.
