Bursa Technical University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is established in 2010. Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences aims to increase entrepreneurial, analytical thinking, and innovative capabilities of its students. In order to contribute to the socio-cultural and economic outcomes for the society, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences targets to motivate to become open to global activities and conduct studies on humanities and society.
Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is composed of five undergraduate programs, namely Business Administration, Psychology, Sociology, International Relations, and International Trade and Logistics.
Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences focuses on high priority research and education areas those are also supported by The Council of Higher Education such as migration, innovation, entrepreneurship, Industry 4.0, technology, digitalization, cyber security, multi-polar world system, etc. as well as other psychological and sociological problems of society, etc.
Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences has faculty members who are expert in their areas. There are 25 faculty members and 10 research assistants and the ratio of student per faculty member is around 15. The language of instruction at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is Turkish; however, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences offers courses in English and German for foreign students.
Along with all the faculties of Bursa Technical University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences also administers a special program which is incited by The Council of Higher Education; namely Sectoral Education Program. Sectoral Education Program is a co-projected, co-ordinated and work-to-work training model in addition to class courses. In this model, students are given opportunity to recognize and apply basic academic knowledge and concepts in related sectors/companies/institutions. Thus, basic information learned at school is re-interpreted together with field studies and students are encouraged to learn by doing in addition to learning by instruction.
Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences has strong ties and cooperation with local and national business world and governmental institutions such as Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Independent Industrialists and Businessmen's Association, Ministry of Treasury and Finance, Ministry of Trade, and Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Work among others.
